Visual Series for Musician Tate Sedar — Stylized Ridge Designs for Photo, Video, and Live Performance

I collaborated remotely with California electronic music artist Tate Sedar on a series of visuals built around a signature design element: stylized, abstract mountain spines. This motif became the foundation for several different deliverables, each adapted to its own format and purpose.

The project included three main components:

1. Photo Composites for Social Media and Promotion
I created several still designs where the spines graphics were integrated into Tate’s promotional photos. The goal was to blend the abstract forms with the existing imagery in a way that felt natural, atmospheric, and aligned with his visual identity. Each composite required careful color matching, layering, and shaping to maintain consistency across the series.

2. A Seamless Looping Video for Social Platforms
Using the same spine motif, I produced a short looping animation optimized for social media. The loop was designed to feel continuous and hypnotic, matching Tate’s electronic sound. The animation emphasized rhythm, clean geometry, and subtle motion, making it suitable for repeated playback on platforms like Instagram.

3. Stage Visuals for Live Performances
The final part of the project was a set of background visuals for Tate’s live shows. These loops expanded on the spine concept, introducing depth, movement, and atmospheric lighting to create a cohesive stage environment. The visuals were adapted for LED screens and structured to maintain clarity and contrast during live performances.

All elements of the project were developed within a unified aesthetic, ensuring that the still images, social media video, and stage visuals felt like parts of the same artistic world. The result was a flexible visual identity that Tate could use across multiple platforms and performance contexts.
