Part 3_2. Motion Design with Vj-ing
Special Visual Content for Boris Brejcha’s Set in Tbilisi

For Boris Brejcha’s performance in Tbilisi, I created custom animation content designed to be controlled simultaneously through a projector and synchronized light lines along the projection grid using the advanced routing possibilities of Resolume, my favorite tool for live shows. The setup also included planned side screens, so the content was built not only for the rectangular screen behind the artist but for the entire spatial composition of the huge train‑depot hangar where the event took place.
Due to a national holiday the day before the show, the Greek stage crew managed to assemble only the central part of the installation in time. Even so, the trip to a new country and the opportunity to work on a large‑scale project with a major artist — even one outside my usual taste — was an impressive and memorable experience.
The content was created in the style of the event’s poster and produced on the go: at the airport, on the plane, and during the first days in Tbilisi. This included fast‑turnaround animations adapted to the projection grid and the lighting layout.

Visual Content for FACE’s Tour, Live VJing & Delegated Pack for Other Shows
Through my connections with major concert organizers, I had the opportunity to work with the well‑known artist FACE. For his tour across Moscow, Saint Petersburg, and Minsk, I created a large visual pack with separate loop groups for each track — verse loops, chorus loops, special accents, and multiple logo variations. The pack was later passed on to the team for use at his other concerts as well.
I worked mainly in Cinema 4D and After Effects, occasionally using stock motion templates for logo animations but heavily modifying them for stage use. I adapted them to LED screens by increasing contrast, applying the 70% black rule, and removing unnecessary textures and glow layers. Most stock templates are designed for computer or phone screens, but stage LEDs don’t handle gradients or soft glows well — they make the image look dirty — so I rebuilt the visuals to stay clean and crisp on large LED setups.

This project was also an interesting experience of touring with a popular artist, performing live VJing and ensuring the visuals worked consistently across different venues.
VJ Performance With Custom Content for LSP’s Concert
This was my first experience performing as a VJ with my own content at a large‑scale concert for a popular artist. I created a full VJ pack tailored to the non‑standard stage layout, which combined square and rectangular LED shapes. A typical HD format didn’t fit this composition at all, so every loop had to be designed specifically for the geometry of the setup.

Using my skills in motion design, frame‑by‑frame animation, and curated internet‑sourced GIFs, I built a pack where each track had its own set of visuals — for verses, choruses, key moments, and multiple logo variations. These were not just abstract loops but minimalistic, stylish narrative compositions that reflected the lyrics and mood of each song.
Many elements were edited from recognizable GIFs found online. Their youth‑culture vibe and familiarity helped create a deeper emotional connection for the fans, making the visuals feel native to the group’s aesthetic and enhancing the overall concert experience.
VJ Pack for Šuma’s Concerts
For Šuma’s concert in Berlin, I performed live VJing using a custom visual pack created specifically for her blend of electronic music and traditional folk singing. After the show, this pack was passed on to the artist for use at her later concerts.
The visuals were based on nature imagery presented in a modern, slightly dark aesthetic to match the deep, hypnotic, almost shamanic character of her music. To make the system easy to use across different venues, I prepared a full Resolume project, allowing Ĺ uma or local VJs to control the content seamlessly.
The pack included loops tailored to her performance style and musical structure, ensuring a consistent visual identity for all future shows.

Visual Content for a Theatre Production by a Belarusian Director (Berlin & Dresden)

For a contemporary theatre production staged in HAU Berlin and later in Dresden, I created a full suite of visual materials integrated directly into the performance.
The project included:
– A week of on‑site content development
– Live‑action footage captured specifically for the production
– Animated subtitles in three languages
– Motion‑designed elements and atmospheric footages
– Integration of visuals into the stage environment
Additionally, I edited the end credits for a documentary film connected to the production, prepared for release on YouTube.
Real‑Time Generative VJing for “Mechta” Party
At the Mechta party, I performed a fully generative VJ set created entirely in real time using only the native tools inside Resolume. No pre‑rendered content was used.
This approach resulted in a raw, experimental visual flow that evolved organically with the music, emphasizing spontaneity and live creativity.
Creative Visual System for Ayahuasca Club

For Ayahuasca Club, I developed a series of creative visual solutions used on a daily basis across the venue. This included pixel mapping of the ceiling’s LED strips, a large VJ pack for weekly parties, and projection mapping for a sculptural logo shaped after the club’s emblem.

All content was designed to be operated independently by the club’s team, without requiring my presence at every event.
In addition to the stage and lighting system, I produced numerous promotional motion‑design videos for the club’s weekly events, maintaining a consistent visual identity and supporting the venue’s active event schedule.
Dome Projection for a Summer Festival
For a summer festival, I created custom visuals for projection onto a large dome tent in the chillout area. The content was designed to interact with the curved geometry of the dome, using organic motion and soft gradients to create a relaxing, atmospheric environment.
Projection Mapping on a Wall of Boxes for the “Durka” Party
For one of the dancefloors at the “Durka” party, I created a projection‑mapping setup for a volumetric wall built from stacked cardboard boxes. The content was produced in After Effects, with several elements modeled and animated in Cinema 4D to emphasize the depth and irregular geometry of the surface.
I designed bright, high‑contrast animations that matched the energetic, chaotic vibe of the event. The visuals were mapped precisely onto the 3D structure, allowing the projections to interact with the physical relief of the boxes and enhancing the raw, underground atmosphere of the party.
